Much has been written about the su:m37 Miracle Rose Cleansing Stick. It's been written about in a lot of editorial posts like Fashionista.com which called it "the cultiest Korean beauty product". I mean, it's a cleanser in a stick! With rose petals!
Well, I tried it with grand expectations but...it didn't work for me at all! I have sensitive skin and the Miracle Rose Cleansing Stick made my skin red and irritated. I'm not sure if it was the rose petals or the formula in general but I immediately stopped using it.
I was so disappointed because the idea of a cleansing STICK was so appealing. No more liquids to deal with making it a great travel companion. New and interesting cleanser product format to keep me "skintertained". Real rose petals in it giving it a natural feel.
So when belif came out with their True Tincture Cleansing Stick I had to give this one a try. As you know, I'm a big fan of belif in general and especially their Moisturizing Bomb, which I wrote about here. I wanted to make cleansing sticks work for me and was hoping this one would work for my sensitive skin since belif is known to be gentle with an herbal focus.
I loved it! It didn't irritate my skin, had a soft foam that lathered well, nice, subtle , herbal scent, and will be the cleanser I take when I travel for its convenience in addition to daily use.
As the name mentions, this is a cleansing stick so it's effectively a soap bar that's in a stick format. Why didn't someone think of this before? So simple and brilliant. It comes with a cap and similar to other tube products (think: Chapstick or lipbalms) where you twist the bottom to control how much soap you want to work with. It's actually not small. If you're not familiar with the size of the Miracle Rose Cleansing Stick, I was surprised at how large this cleanser was. For some reason I thought it was much smaller. This belif True Tincture Cleansing Stick is the same size and measures about 5.25" long and 1.5" in diameter. It's somewhat hefty.
This cleanser has chamomile extracts which is known to have calming effects on the body and skin. Calendula also soothes skin and is a natural cleanser. Oats moisturize and combat redness. It also contains a lot of "earthy" oils like orange peel oil, coconut oil, lemon peel oil etc. It was a lot more gentle than the Miracle Rose Cleansing Stick with a great herbal scent.
Where to Buy
You can get it at Sephora both online and offline, which carries belif exclusively.
