New in my 'hood is TsuruTonTan, an udon noodle brasserie.
I got there on a Friday night around 6:30pm and the wait was about 20-30 minutes. Unfortunately, the wait for the food was longer than waiting for a table. We waited about 45 minutes for our noodles to arrive. No doubt the restaurant was super busy but 45 minutes was too long.
I ordered the Nabekyaki Udon (photo above) and loved it. Perfect for a cold night - served in a ceramic bowl it stayed hot and warmed me up. We also had the Sukiyaki Udon which was too sweet for my taste but sukiyaki in general is pretty sweet.
TsuruTonTan is located on 16th between 5th and Broadway.
