Back in April 2016, I had the privilege of going on a family trip to South Africa. Our first stop was Cape Town where we stayed at the amazingly luxurious MannaBay Hotel. It's one of THE nicest hotel experiences I have ever had. No detail was overlooked which made for an amazingly comfortable and luxurious experience.
This boutique hotel is located in a well-to-do suburban neighborhood and was formerly a home that the owner bought and converted into a guest house. It has amazing views of Table Mountain, as it sits near the bottom of the mountain, and has 8 beautifully decorated rooms.
I stayed in the Flamingo Room (photo above) which I thought was perfectly decorated and perfectly fit my taste of modern with a bit of European flair. Each room has a theme; there's Versailles, Flamingo, Pom Pom, Persian, Oriental, Orchid, Explorer, and Black & White and each room is named and decorated accordingly. The bathrooms were large and super high end with huge standing showers and heated towel racks. The blinds were motorized with my room facing the pool and Table Mountain.
Upon arrival and check in, MannaBay provided snacks and goodies that were so delicious and fresh.
Breakfast was served every morning and included as part of the stay. The spread was just jaw dropping and beautiful and I looked forward to it every morning.
With a super friendly staff that covered everything from food to cleaning to any logistical needs (reservations, tour guides, tips, etc), MannaBay had it all covered.
Not only did they provide daily breakfast but there was also an afternoon/high tea spread that was equally as delectable and beautiful as breakfast.
MannaBay Hotel has a pool, a gym, a steam sauna, a recreation room with tv and dvds to watch and a living room with grand piano and all! The design from the minute you walk into the door was simply impeccable and I recommend this hotel experience to anyone who wants a luxurious stay in Cape Town. I can't say enough about MannaBay and hope that you can experience it for yourself.
